Mouthguards

A mouthguard is a specially made, rubber-like cover which fits exactly over your teeth and gums, cushioning them and protecting them from damage.

It is important to wear a professionally made mouthguard whenever you play any sport that involves physical contact or moving objects. These sports include: Gaelic games, soccer, rugby, hockey and all other contact sports which can cause broken and damaged teeth. A mouthguard will help protect against these events.

Nightguards / Bite Splints

This robust device is manufactured for those suffering from Bruxism (grinding). It protects the enamel surface of the teeth by acting as a shock absorber to counteract biting forces. It can also help alleviate the symptoms of TMJ or Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction which can be associated with Bruxism. It is mainly worn at night but occasionally during the day and is made of a very thin, strong plastic.
